  2. millie bush dog park

Named after late President Bush’s beloved Springer Spaniel, Millie Bush Dog Park is a favorite for our west Houston furiends. At almost 9-acres big, it’s divided into two off-leash areas that are both securely fenced. Granite running trails, ponds to swim in, lots of trees for shade and water fountains to play in. Doesn’t get much better than this! Be sure to check out the adjacent George Bush Park Nature Area while you’re there.

  3. johnny steele dog park at buffalo bayou park

It sounds like it’s named after a Marvel character, but Johnny Steele is really a celebrated Houston landscape architect. The park was closed down after Hurricane Harvey, and reopened in June 2018 after Buffalo Bayou Park got a $58 million facelift. Here, your doggo can play in plenty of shade, ponds and fountains in the heart of the city.

  4. danny jackson family bark park

Located just off the West Loop at 59, Danny Jackson Family Bark Park has two separate off-leash areas for large and small small dogs. Take advantage of the doggie ponds and wash station to clean up before the car ride home!
